B02 Neighbor to Neighbor: a kindness initiative

Neighbor to Neighbor started in 2024 as a pre-election peace initiative. We wanted to respond as a church community to the anxiety and incivility around us, and realized that we stand for kindness and being a good neighbor. We developed programming around that including a city-wide dance party, featured speaker David Brooks, and developing Intentional Acts of Kindness Week, as well as signs with our logo and an inspirational website. The response was overwhelming, positive and Spirit-filled. We are continuing the work at the request of the community in 2026, with big plans for encouraging kindness.
