This engaging, 90-minute workshop introduces participants to Invite Welcome Connect, a practical and spiritually grounded framework for strengthening evangelism, hospitality, and belonging in today’s Episcopal congregations. Rooted in the conviction that church growth flows from authentic relationships and intentional practices, Invite Welcome Connect helps communities move from passive openness to active, life-giving invitation.
This ministry that former Presiding Bishop Michael Curry once said “calls us to be exactly who we are in Jesus Christ, and to invite, welcome, and connect others to that life-giving reality,” this workshop invites participants to reflect on how their own congregations embody this calling.
Participants will explore the three essential movements of the framework: Invite, Welcome, and Connect, along with core values, practical applications, and hands-on exercises such as mapping invitations and conducting a hospitality walkthrough to identify real-world opportunities for improvement. Through guided discussion and small-group work, attendees will develop concrete, realistic strategies they can begin testing in their congregations within the next 60 days.
