This workshop offers participants an inside look at how Episcopal chaplaincy serves within the Armed Forces and Federal Ministries. Drawing on real-world insights from active chaplains and institutional partners, the session highlights how spiritual care, ethical leadership, and pastoral presence support personnel across military and federal environments as well as non federal hospitals.
What the Presentation Covers
The role and identity of Episcopal chaplains in pluralistic settings
How chaplains provide pastoral care, crisis support, and moral guidance
Collaboration between chaplaincy offices, the Armed Forces, and Federal Ministries
Challenges of ministry in highstress, highresponsibility contexts
Maintaining sacramental and liturgical life for Episcopalians in government service
Opportunities for clergy discerning a call to federal or military chaplaincy
