Creation Care Grants
The Episcopal Church Office of Creation Care announces the opening of the 2022 Creation Care grant funding cycle, with applications—available in English and Spanish—being accepted for local and regional eco-ministry projects until 5 p.m. ET Aug. 15.
An informational webinar to learn more about the grant process and ask questions is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET June 27. Register online, or view the webinar later on-demand.
The 2022 Creation Care grants seek to support long-term ministries that focus on addressing the inequitable and systemic impacts of environmental racism and support regional and local collaborative eco-justice projects. The grant committee is interested in supporting programs that go beyond secular environmental work to provide resources for faith-based community organizing and theological reflection.
“Grant recipients across The Episcopal Church have developed creative, life-giving approaches to local climate and environmental wholeness,” said the Rev. Melanie Mullen, director of reconciliation, justice, and creation care. “Episcopal creation care projects show just how important local churches and partnerships are to growing the movement of climate justice and repairing the harms of environmental racism and degradation, and we can’t wait to award a new round of funds to those called to try something new in creation care.”
Up to eight projects—ranging from $10,000 to $25,000 each—will be awarded to Episcopal institutions by a committee comprising former members of the churchwide Task Force on Creation Care and Environmental Racism. Read about the 2021 Creation Care grant recipients.
The grant committee is committed to supporting efforts led and aided by youth and young adults, communities of color, and Indigenous peoples.
Additional questions can be emailed to Phoebe Chatfield, associate for creation care and justice.

Province V Network Initiative Grants
Grants will be available in 2022. The board will review these guidelines at their February meeting. If you're interested, contact Heather for more information.
Purpose
The primary purpose of Province V is to support collaboration and networking amongst the fourteen dioceses that compose our body. Collaborative ministry is already taking place throughout our Province, including several networks working on initiatives such as racial justice, creation care, and resort ministries.
In an effort to support and catalyze these networks, the Province V Executive Board offers grants for new and collaborative initiatives that are the result of dioceses working together for a common cause - to forward the Jesus Movement in the Midwest.
$9,500 has been designated for Network Initiatives Grants for 2020. Initiatives may apply for up to $2,000 per project.
Grants are available on a rolling basis and applications are accepted throughout the year, until funds have all been disbursed.
