Province V Campus Minister Retreat
REGISTER HERE!
October 8, 5 pm - October 10, 1 pm, 2024
Holy Wisdom Monastery
This event is created for Lay & Ordained Professional Ministers whose work is centered on YACM.
Once the 2024-2025 academic year is underway it'll be time for those chaplains and ministers of Province V to gather together for our annual retreat.
This year's theme is "Rest & Resource." With opportunities to enjoy the grounds of Holy Wisdom Monastery either individually or as part of the "Retreat on 2 Feet" workshop, we'll also share resources with one another from our own ministries. Our students call them "Powerpoint Parties" in which they take 5, 10, or 15 minutes to share something they are passionate about. How are you creating places of peace/sabbath for your students/young adults? While registering, please consider adding a resource/workshop/worship/formation tool you are passionate about. We are stronger when we share...and "Prov V Rocks!" at sharing resources.
Date/Time: Tuesday, October 8, 2024 program begins with dinner at 5:00 PM CST. Programming ends with noon lunch on Thursday, October 10, 2024.
Cost: $50 includes two nights accommodations and six meals at Holy Wisdom thanks to the generous underwriting of Living Compass.
Tuesday, October 8

- Do you have a passion for connecting worshiping communities with nearby local institutions of higher learning?

- Would you enjoy coaching, mentoring, and advising leaders of worshiping communities, helping them to form cohorts and plan programming so as to share wisdom and strengthen an Episcopal presence to local institutions of higher learning?
- Are you excited about organizing structures (databases and other digital resource centers) to help local communities connect with each other and find the support they need?
If so, we'd like to meet you! This new grant-funded position is designed for a clergy or lay leader residing in Province V with a desired start date of Jan 1, 2025.

Spring 2023
Province V has received a $20,000 development grant! Look for more details as we begin the discernment and visioning process for a Province V Campus Ministry Consultant.
Are you near a higher-ed campus?
Would you like to reach out but don't know how?
Is your parish near an institution of higher learning? (this might be: community college, trade school, specialty training schools - anything that provides post-high school education)
We want to hear from you!
Province V is currently discerning if they should hire a person to be a "Campus Ministry Consultant." This person would work with parish leaders to help them build relationships with the faculty, staff, and/or students of nearby post-high school educational institutions.
If you would like to share your thoughts, questions, or ideas, please contact Heather at 989-413-3229 or [email protected].
More details about this discernment will be coming soon!
