Campus Ministry Consultant
Province V has received a $20,000 development grant! Look for more details as we begin the discernment and visioning process for a Province V Campus Ministry Consultant.
Our summary statement when we submitted this request:
Discernment and Visioning for a Campus Ministry Consultant
Province V is in the exploration and discernment stage of creating a Campus Ministry Consultant to serve the worshipping communities across the province as they work to connect to their local higher education campuses. The Campus Ministry Consultant (CMC), a full-time employee of Province V, would help leaders of worshipping communities identify and creatively respond to new ministry opportunities at nearby campuses. Should Province V of the Episcopal Church be awarded a YACM development grant, the Province V Executive Board and Province V Coordinator intend to partner with Ministry Architects to facilitate a visioning and discernment process with the hope of vastly expanding the reach and empowerment of young adults from diverse backgrounds on campuses across the province. The province hopes to develop a full-time campus ministry consultant position at the provincial level that can bolster and support campus ministries with best practices and innovative strategies customized to each ministry's unique context. At the conclusion of the visioning process that engages existing YACM stakeholders across the province, Ministry Architects would guide the leadership to execute an implementation plan for sustainable staffing and funding to execute this vision.

PreConference
We will be having a PreConference for people who are new to their ministry settings (served there 3 years or less) on June 20 from 9am - 4pm. This is geared toward those who are new to ministry so we can focus on listening to one another, learning with and from each other, relationship building, and connecting the dots.
Registration
Participant registration is now open. https://dfms.formstack.com/forms/yacm23_registration
Registration ONLY covers the programming and some of the meals for the event. It does NOT cover housing or transportation.
$75 In Person Conference
$25 Online Conference
If that is a financial hardship, please reach out to the Rev. Shannon Kelly.
In Person and Online
You can choose to attend this conference either in person or online. Our plenary sessions and worship will be available online as well as some workshop offerings. The PreConference will not be available online, but if you are attending online and are new to ministry, please reach out to Rev. Shannon Kelly to get connected.
Housing
We have left housing up to you, because we know you all like flexibility and adventure. Hotels near the cathedral tend to be more expensive, however we are looking around to find some good pricing. We also encourage you to look at AirBnB and the smaller boutique hotels nearby that are a bit quirky, but look fun. Please look at the website for more info about room blocks we have saved at a local hotel and a few hotel suggestions. AirBnB's are abundant in that area so that may be the best option if you have friends you want to share space with during the conference. I would reserve housing ASAP.
Health & Safety
Everyone attending the YACM Leadership Conference in person must agree to adhere to any and all facility, local, state, and national COVID-19 guidelines and mandates, if any be in place at the time of the event, for your safety and for the safety of others. Proof of COVID vaccination and one booster shot is mandatory and, if necessary, pre- and post-event testing may be required. We will let you know closer to the event given the current COVID numbers at that time.
